Kimi Browser Extension

Kimi Browser Extension, formerly Kimi WebBridge, lets AI agents operate websites through Chrome or Edge. It can open pages, click buttons, complete forms, take screenshots and extract information from the browser session you already use.

The extension covers a narrower job than the main Kimi workspace. It gives Kimi and compatible local agents a way to act inside webpages rather than only returning instructions or research in a chat window. You can use it from the browser sidebar, Kimi Work or Kimi Code.

A local service connects the agent to your browser through Chrome DevTools Protocol. This lets the agent work with active login sessions without making you sign in again inside a separate remote browser. That can be useful for updating spreadsheets, gathering information across several sites, entering data into business systems or completing repetitive online forms.

The recording tools turn repeated browser work into reusable skills. You can demonstrate a process once, save a completed conversation as a skill or let the extension analyze a webpage and break common actions into commands. Saved workflows can then be called again for similar tasks or exposed as CLI tools.

Kimi Browser Extension also works as a sidebar assistant. It can read the current page, use selected text as context and group related tabs for jobs that involve several sources. Support for other local agents makes it useful beyond Kimi's own desktop and coding products.

Browser automation still needs supervision. A workflow may fail when a site changes its interface, blocks automated interaction or asks for additional verification. Account permissions and website terms also determine what the extension can do. Review form submissions, purchases and other consequential actions before allowing them to proceed.

The extension can be installed free and requires a Kimi account for sidebar access. Kimi also provides paid membership tiers for higher usage and access to its broader agent products.
