Muse from Meta

Muse from Meta is a personal AI agent that manages email, coordinates your calendar, researches purchases and works through tasks across connected apps and websites. You can ask it to prepare a reply, find a dinner reservation or help organize a trip, then review the actions that need your approval.

Muse runs on its own cloud computer with a browser. It can read pages, fill out forms and continue working after you close the app. For longer projects, it keeps track of your goals and returns with updates or a request for input. Background tasks make it useful for work that involves checking several services or following up later.

You can chat with Muse through its mobile apps, the web or WhatsApp. The Mac app also works with desktop files, apps and browser tabs. It remembers preferences and details you share, which can help with recurring plans. You can ask it to forget particular information.

Approval controls cover sensitive actions such as sending email and making purchases. You choose which services to connect and can change or remove their permissions. An activity history shows what Muse has done and what it plans to do. Its credential store keeps actual passwords outside the agent's view.

For freelancers and small business owners, Muse fits tasks such as scheduling, preparing correspondence and researching travel alongside personal errands. What it can complete depends on the services you connect and whether a website permits the agent to act. Review the details before approving a booking, message or purchase; the agent can still make mistakes.

Muse launched in the US, so check availability before planning around it elsewhere. There is a free usage allowance that refreshes, with paid subscriptions for additional use. Conversations and data stored in Muse's virtual machine are not shared with Meta's advertising systems. Model training is a separate setting, which you can opt out of.
